Camryn will be 7 months old tomorrow. She is crawling all over the place, pulls herself up on everything and can just now go from crawling to sitting up all by herself! She needs to work on going from standing to sitting a little easier though-what can I say, she has her mom's grace.

Ok, so I apologize for neglecting this site for so long. So make sure you scroll down and see all the added pics. Camryn is 6 months old now and growing and changing constantly. She eats food at all three meals now and loves it. I think she would rather eat the food than have a bottle. She loves drinking water out of her sippy cup and can sit up unsupported. She is also trying to pull herself up on things. At her 6 month appt she weighed 14 lbs 12 oz (25th percentile) and 25 1/2 inches long (25th percentile) so she is a petite little girl.

Misc

On Labor Day, Camryn got to go to the river for the first and only time this summer. The life jacket didn't bother her at all-thank goodness. She fell asleep on the way back to the landing even though it was a rough ride. Hopefully next summer will be better and we can go out on the river more so she can really enjoy it. She loves the water. A gift from Matt and Adrianna

3 Month Pics

I just figured out that I never did say-The harness is off! We have also been back for a check-up since then and the doc said she is looking good. She has to go back in 6 weeks for an x-ray and then shouldn't have to go back again.

Camryn was 3 months old on July 5 and my mom and I went and had her pictures taken at Sears that day. Above is a sampling.

I can't believe how much Camryn has grown and changed. She loves to be able to "stand" and talk to you. She has also very recently started watching the dogs play. I would love to know what she is thinking...I think.

We went to our house on June 28-2 weeks after the levee broke-with our insurance adjuster. I was shocked at what I saw at our house and through town. We still had about 5 feet of water in the basement and water surrounding the house and shed. I didn't feel safe walking in the house because the floors were already buckling and pulling away from the walls. I was also amazed at how fast the mold grew-especially since BJ went and opened most of the windows the Tuesday after the levee broke.

We had a play date on July 12 and Jessica and Aidyn Buster joined us. It was a busier day so we didn't get to spend as much time together this time. But the babies are sure growing up!

BJ and I took Camryn to the pool for the first time. She really liked it. The big pool was a little too cold after awhile but the baby pool was much warmer. She loved getting to "stand" in the water.

Hello Again

Ok so it has been a long time since I have posted-with good reason. Our family has been uprooted due to the flood. We are currently staying with my mom and dad in Wapello. We have all adjusted well. My mom's flexible work schedule has been wonderful since she has been able to babysit almost everyday. Grandma Jan and Aunt Julie are also helping out! I have not got to see our house yet but BJ has and the pictures aren't pretty. I think we will probably go in to see the house on Saturday. Below you will see some pictures of our house and also some cute ones of Camryn. Camryn is almost 3 months old now! She is so talkative and loves hearing herself.

2 months

Camryn's new cousin-Payten Claire Shipler

Camryn found her thumb this weekend.

I had to go back to work this week. Monday was obviously the hardest and I think I started crying the moment I woke up and didn't stop until I was on my way to Burlington. It was rough but I was so busy during the day that the time went fast. My mom watched Camryn from Monday through Wednesday and then she started at Katie's on Thursday. Camryn did fine at daycare. Then on Tuesday, Camryn had her 2-month dr. appt. She weighed 10 lbs 1 oz, which is only in the 25-30th percentile and is 23 inches long, which is in the 75th percentile. The dr said not to worry about her weight since she is eating fine. I would actually like to see how much she has gained this week. She has been taking 6 oz at a time sometimes from a bottle at daycare! But she also had to get her shots. I felt so bad for her and I cried because I have never seen that expression of hurt on her face before. She got a clean bill of health.

We go this Tuesday to the orthopedic doctor-keeps your fingers crossed that they harness gets to come off!

Yesterday we went to Sears and got Camryn's pictures taken. She did so good-we couldn't have asked for better. She is 7 weeks old today.

Camryn is also going to have two new cousins - one in January-Les & Lindsay are expecting and also in December-Dusty & Melissa are expecting!
