34 Weeks

I had an appointment yesterday and the doctor said I was measuring big so it was time for an ultrasound. The appointment went good though. I have now gained a total of 18 pounds and the heart rate was 164. A little higher than what it has been but the baby was pretty active. So we went today for the ultrasound and here is a picture. When you look at the picture you can see the face. It looks like it is laying on a pillow so the right side of the picture is the top of the head. There is the eyes and then nose and mouth. The "bubble" at the top is a hand. Sorry if you can't see it and I wish they would have labeled things. Everything is fine. Dr. Hays said that the baby's size is fine and the fluids levels are fine too. The calculated due date from the ultrasound was only a day apart from my actual due date so the baby's size is normal. We did not find out what the sex is. It was hard but we resisted!

Here are some pictures from the nursery. We got some Winnie the Pooh stickers to put on the walls and have two quilt squares on the wall too. We also got Winnie the Pooh valances hung up (Thanks Sherry!). I have my first shower tomorrow...how exciting!

32 Weeks

I had another appointment last Tuesday and it went fine. I have gained a total of 14 pounds now. I measured at 33 cm and the heart rate was 154.
Tuesday night was a lot of fun though. I woke up at about 1 am and just wasn't feeling right and couldn't get comfortable so I decided to get up and sit in my recliner. Well while I was sitting up I realized that there was a pattern to my discomfort. I was having contractions. I figured they were just the Braxton-Hicks contractions since they weren't really painful, just uncomfortable and annoying. At 3 am I decided to go back to bed and if I couldn't fall asleep I was going to wake up BJ and call the doctor. But I finally got to sleep and I have not had any more contractions.
We are official graduates from our prenatal class. Thursday was the last class. I am very glad to be done and now we won't have any late evenings in Burlington now.

We have furniture!

It was actually quite a busy weekend. First on Saturday I went to another baby shower. This one was for Miranda (Overmohle) Atkinson. It was a lot of fun and got me excited for mine. There was three pregnant women there again.
Miranda (33 weeks), Me (31 weeks), and Kiley (Gerst) Murguia (33 weeks)
Then on Sunday, Jan, my mom and I went shopping for the crib and dresser. Shopko was having a huge baby sale. So we got the crib, dresser, and mattress. And BJ shocked the heck out of me and had both of them put together tonight. It is so exciting to have the nursery start to come together. Here are a couple shots of the crib and dresser.
