Another Appointment

I had another appointment on Monday. I went from not gaining any weight during my pregnancy to gaining 7 pounds in the last 4 weeks. The doctor was fine with it though. I measured at 26 cm and the baby's heart rate was 152. So all in all everything is going fine. I really have to say that I love being pregnant, no complaints. I can't believe how the time is flying. I go on January 9 for the diabetes test and then start having appointments every two weeks. I can't believe I am to that point already!

20 Weeks!

I have hit the half way point of my pregnancy...already! I am still feeling great. I had an appointment on Monday and it went fine. I still have not gained any weight during my pregnancy but the doc said that was fine as long as I am eating good. The baby's heartbeat was a strong 152. I love getting to hear it! The doc also started measuring my belly today and I measured 22 cm which is right on target.

Registering

BJ and I went and started our registries today. It was fun yet confusing. We registered at Target and Wal-Mart. If you look at the Wal-Mart registry and see something out of the ordinary...that is BJ's doing! So if any of you experienced parents happen to take the time to look at the registries and have any tips or hints, please feel free to share. Thanks!

Movement

Last Thursday, November 1, I felt the baby move for the first time. It was awesome. He/She hasn't hardly stopped moving since. It is a great feeling and BJ can't wait until he can feel it.

Update! Finally!

The Baby's closet is expanding! Grandma Debbie bought this onesie! This is a 3T Vikings winter coat that the baby will grow into. Thanks Huxley's! I have had two appointsments since last updating this site. We have gotten to hear the heartbeat now and it is was really cool. Everything is going fine and I am feeling great. I have started to show a little now. I still haven't felt movement but I am told that it should happen anytime now.

Doctor Appointments and Ultrasound

We had our first doctors appointment yesterday. It went well. First we were disappointed because she said that we were not going to be able to see or hear the heartbeat this time. Then at the end of the exam she said that she wanted us to come back in and get an ultrasound done. She was questioning my due date. So we went in today and had the ultrasound done. It was the most awesome thing BJ and I had ever seen! We could see the shape of the baby and the heart beating. She is leaving my due date alone, so it is April 6, 2008.

New Gifts & Pencil Test

The baby received its first outfit yesterday. Thanks Steph! He/She will be ready for the next football season!

BJ and I went to the Ducks Unlimited dinner on Friday night and I was given this picture book that was supposed to be for the Greenwings. It has pictures of lab puppies, so cute! Also, Hux performed the pencil test on me yesterday and the result was, its gonna be a boy. The pencil test is that you dangle a pencil above the mama's belly and if it goes in a line it is a boy, if it goes in a circle it is a girl. Hux also performed it on BJ, by dangling the pencil over his wrist, and it said the same thing, Boy!

First Gifts

BJ came home from Cabelas last weekend with a camo diaper bag and the baby's first toy, a stuffed black lab puppy with a mallard duck in its mouth. When you push on one paw, it snores, when you push on the other, it barks.

The stocking hat was the baby's first gift. Thanks Hux! And of course it is camo and it says Little Hunter.

Hello

Well I have recently found out that I am expecting. My first doctors appointment is August 29. My goal for this site is to keep everyone (who is interested) updated on my pregnancy and then of course the little bambino when he/she arrives.
